Questions asked on PCA, the maths behind it, gradient boosting, convex functions, structure of a convex function for >1D case. Brief descriptions of projects. A small case study on Confidence Intervals and how to explain it to someone in layman terms. Strengths and weaknesses.

Questions on project, with a focus on my summer internship projects.

Questions Asked in Further Rounds:
Questions on probability. Explain the concepts of insurance and reinsurance. A small case study on car insurance: how to collect the data, estimate the loss, what are the factors responsible, how you can construct the Confidence Intervals for the expected loss. Further explain some factors influencing this expected loss, how you would regress them using OLS and GLM. If the expected loss is not normally distributed then what possible distribution it can follow, both for capturing the frequency and the amount of loss.
